The C1000 FLEXMATIC was developed to meet the high demands of industrial high-volume production. With its semi-automatic integration into the "Smart Ceramic Factory", the printer offers the necessary flexibility and efficiency to produce ceramic components with high precision. Top-down stereolithography ensures accurate prints with few support structures and enables simple material feed via the cartridge system.
The C1000 FLEXMATIC is designed for high-volume industrial production.
Integrates into semi-automatic production lines and reduces manual intervention.
Ceramic material can be easily refilled during the printing cycle.
The printer is AI-controlled to optimize the printing process, minimize printing time and increase efficiency
Aerospace applications require optical instruments that are as light as possible. Such requirements can be met using additive manufacturing. For example, the mass of satellites' mirrors must be reduced as much as possible.
For over 10 years, 3DCeram has been using 3D SLA printing to produce customized parts or small series of bone replacements (intervertebral and tibial implants, as well as jaw and cranial implants)
3DCeram offers equipment that meets the specific requirements of industrial manufacturing processes (for electronics, chemicals, telecommunications, etc.) and in which this new technology is to be integrated.
Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) has very good mechanical properties both when cold and at high temperatures. At ambient temperatures, its thermal conductivity is low. At temperatures above 1000°C, zirconium oxide is a very good electrical conductor. It is also very hard, wear-resistant, chemically inert and resists attack by metals. Zirconium oxide can be colored for use in jewelry.
Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) is a base material used in numerous technical ceramic applications. It retains its mechanical strength even at high temperatures and has good electrical conductivity.
Silicon nitride (Si3n4) is one of the hardest and most resistant ceramic materials. It resists thermal shock very well, is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant to liquids and gases. It is used in pump and valve elements, semiconductors, etc.
The C1000 FLEXMATIC uses top-down stereolithography (SLA). In this process, a light-curing ceramic material (paste/slurry) is cured layer by layer through UV exposure from above. The advantage: precise print results with minimal support structures.
The printer is designed to integrate into semi-automated production lines—what is known as the Smart Ceramic Factory. This significantly reduces the need for manual intervention, but does not require a fully automated line. Operators can conveniently refill the material using the cartridge system without interrupting the printing cycle.
CERIA is the AI-driven control system of the C1000 FLEXMATIC. It automatically optimizes the printing process, minimizes printing time, and increases overall efficiency. The AI analyzes printing parameters in real time and adjusts them dynamically.
The material is fed through a cartridge system. The ceramic material (paste/slurry) can be easily refilled during the printing cycle without interrupting the process—a significant advantage for high-volume production.
The printer is approved for use with three types of high-performance technical ceramic materials:
Heat resistance depends on the material used. For example, zirconia is an excellent electrical conductor above 1000 °C and retains its properties at extreme temperatures. Alumina also maintains its mechanical strength at high temperatures. Please contact us for specific temperature limits. We’re happy to help.
The printer is specifically designed for large-scale industrial production. Typical industries:
According to the manufacturer, the C1000 FLEXMATIC combines precision and productivity and is “ideal for everything from prototyping to mass production.” Its semi-automatic design makes it particularly efficient for high-volume production, but does not preclude its use for prototyping.
Top-down SLA technology enables printing with very few support structures. This saves material, reduces post-processing requirements, and shortens production time compared to many other additive manufacturing processes.
The C1000 FLEXMATIC is not sold directly to consumers—it is an industrial system available through authorized distributors. For German-speaking countries, AM Pioneers is the authorized distributor: You can purchase the printer directly from us.
