To encourage regional exchange, AM Pioneers hosted its first networking event at its own Esslingen Technology Center. In addition to specialist presentations by Desktop Metal and a tour of the machine park, the main aim was to create a platform for 3D printing enthusiasts from the local industry and to facilitate exchange at all levels of experience.

The General Manager of AM Pioneers, Leonardo Scardigno, looks back on the evening with pride: “We are focusing on the industry-oriented qualification of systems, thinking beyond the boundaries of the application and creating a network for the development of additive manufacturing in industry.”

Guest speakers Gürsel Demircali and Henrik Peiss spoke on the evening about the possibilities of binder jetting from prototypes to series production and gave a technical excursion into live sintering, the sintering simulation of desktop metal. The concluding open discussion round between the two experts left no question of the audience about binder jetting unanswered.

In addition to the professional discussions, there was plenty of room to get to know each other and exchange ideas. The evening was accompanied by Italian delicacies, making the after-work event a great place to relax.

Close to the heart of industry, AM Pioneers GmbH has been based in Esslingen’s Pliensauvorstadt since 2022 and invites you to take a tour of the machinery in its own Technology Center. The team, which started out as a one-man department, now employs 8 people and offers consulting and services as well as support in engineering and research projects.
